Happy Easter!

It's tradition that we paint our eggs every Easter. They tend to last longer. ;) It's pretty much a guarantee that G will taste test the paint before he uses it. It usually meets his qualifications.

Waiting for my paint to dry.

We also decorated sugar cookies! G was the official sprinkle sprinkler. About time I used the leftover Halloween and birthday sprinkles. What a great color combo!

My Buddy

I never knew a kid who would steal tissues from any store/person or bathroom to fake sneeze at any given moment. And then promptly say "Bess shoe," then wad it up and throw it away. You make me laugh.

I never knew such a young kid who could pronounce 3-syllable words after hearing it only once. "Chuggington," "Magazine" and "lollipop" are my favorite.

I never knew a kid your age who still preferred Gerber baby food pureed vegetables over vegetables in their whole form.

I never knew a kid who would use any item and turn it into a camera and yell, "Cheese! Chakoo," As you pretended to snap a picture.

I never knew a kid who bent as low as possible and slowly walked sideways toward you to snuggle his head into your leg to say sorry.

I love the way you laugh and scream when Daddy and I tickle you until we think you can't handle it and might start crying. Then immediately ask "More! More!"

I love the way you have to be independent, and when I got you out of bed, you cried and climbed back in just to get out on your own. Or when I stood you up you cried and squatted down just to stand back up and exclaim, "I did it!"

I love that after being in the tub, you jump out and bolt through the house yelling, "Nakey boy!" and climb on the couch leaving wet spots all over...every night!

I love that you believe a kiss from me AND Daddy AND yourself can heal anything.

I love that when I come to get you from a nap or in the morning, there are at least 20 books on your bed, and all your cars, and some hangers...every time.

I love that you can build your own train track with your train set and always have to find me to tell my the train is about to go through the tunnel.

I love that you ask me "Okay?" after you trip or fall and don't stop asking/telling me until I respond.

I love that you are so interested in cars and trucks right now and all we need to do is drive down the street and you are enthralled at all the vehicles we can find.

I love that when I push you in the car cart at the store, you stand up through the windshield the whole time yelling "HI!" to all the people.

I love that you ask to go fishing with Daddy everyday even though you end up throwing rocks in the water and playing in the mud.

I love taking you out in the stroller and soon you start asking, "Wok awound, wok awound?" And you are pretty good about staying near me.

You make me laugh and smile every day and I love you for it!

Bingo Bag Night?

So this might seem kind of strange, but I had a crazy dream last night. I want to see if it would be as fun in real life or if it's a dumb idea that just seemed fun in my sleep.
I got together with a bunch of women to play BINGO. We each brought a purse/backpack/diaper bag/clutch/beach bag/you-name-it bag. Any bag that was in nice condition and she wouldn't mind parting with. As people won at BINGO, their prize was to chose one of the bags to take home. It was fun since we all got a new bag to take home!
I won't mention the rest of my dream since carnival rides on sinking ships don't really make sense.
Anyways, would that be fun to do?

Getting To Know You

Last night we had a Relief Society Birthday/Getting to know you night. We did a speed dating activity and whenever I was asked what I like to do when I have free time or for fun, I drew a blank. I feel bad about it. I love so many things. This post is to make up for my lack of answers last night, not because I feel you are all deprived of not knowing all the details of my life, but because I want to share somethings some of you may not know about me.

*I have a produce sticker collection with over 600 different stickers...from pul-qua to apples. (I don't know what pul-qua is either.)
*I never want to own a Kitchen-aid mixer because I like mixing or kneading by hand.
*I love foreign films. Seeing other cultures is amazing to me.
*My favorite flower is a tulip.
*My favorite tree is a Maple.
*My favorite animal is an elephant.
*I keep secrets from everyone except Tristan, unless you specifically ask me not to tell him. :)
*I love listening to wind chimes.
*When I hear birds singing, I think of the spare room at my grandmother's house.
*I never pressure anyone into telling me something or doing something they don't want to...no matter what the reason...I don't care.
*In my spare time I surf the internet...and saying that encourages me to be more productive.
*Going to the mall makes my eyes go red if not bloodshot...I don't like spending lots of money and get overwhelmed just thinking about it.
*My favorite time to be outside is after the sun is up, but before the world is up, or at dusk.
*I know how to use a hand gun, but don't like to. I prefer a .22 rifle. :)

That'll do for now.
(PS- I did something similar 2 years ago...only if you are interested/bored.)

Blueberries

Just about the closest thing to heaven.

Cars

If he could:

He would live, eat and breathe "A-keen." For those of you who are unfamiliar with the movie, that's Lightning McQueen.

And just a side note, his favorite characters are Bessie and Frank. You'll have to really know the show to know that those are the smallest role characters.

He thinks for breakfast you eat losers.

And on the dot after Mater yells, "Oh Shoot!" So does this tyke, only it sounds somewhat like another word.

Fish Story

Yesterday we went fishing with Tristan's parents. I caught a large mouth bass right away and it was huge!!! Tristan held it for the picture because, yes I am scared of them. They are so slimy and I don't want them to get my fingers! :) Tris guesses he was about 5.5-6 lbs.

(This one is fuzzy but shows the size better.)

Just so you don't lose all faith in my touching icky things......

G spent his time collecting rocks and throwing them for the locals.

Gotta Get Going!!

This is a good time for the Tom Petty song, "Time to Get Going." (Awesome song!)
Several months ago I made a list of 40 things to do before baby came...one a week. I'm so far behind! I have about 12 done and I'm 28 weeks! Granted I was waiting for spring since most were outside projects.
Anyways, if you want to see how I'm doing on the list, I added a link on the side.
Or see it here.

Garbage Days

This is where G spends most his Tuesday. Any sight of a truck makes it a great day.

New Camera!

We got an AWESOME new camera! It takes great pictures. I decided to test it out on G.

"Smile!"

"RAWRRRRR!!!"

Okaaaaaay.........that's new..."Smile!"

"RAWRRRRR!!!!"

Okay...one more time.
"Smile!"

There you go!

Build and Grow

Lowe's had a Build and Grow for kids to make racecars. Since G lives and breathes Disney's Cars, I took him and it was SO cute to see him hammering away. Thank goodness all the holes were pre-drilled. He insisted on taking it to bed with him for his nap. After which all the stickers mysteriously disappeared.

Tangled

We went and saw Tangled in theaters and happened to be the only ones there. When the pocorn ran out, G could do nothing but use the theater as his playground. I could do movies like that more often!

Fishing

G is pretty obsessed with fishing. We took him on a freezing day in January, and the fish decided not to play along. Or maybe they didn't like hotdogs. But it was fun to get out.

Snow

So, a while ago we got snow. I'm not sure how much, about 6-9 inches. But because of the "wind sweeping down the plains" there were huge drifts. School was cancelled for 4 days. It was awesome!
