About Time: Christmas Pictures

Just to prove we did celebrate Christmas this year, I'm finally posting a blog!!

The best part of Christmas to G is the empty boxes.
Piece by piece, ALL the wrapping and tape had to be off before he even noticed what the gift was.
T wrapped it and G picked out the bows.
G was insistent that Grammy got ALL the gifts, and proceeded to pile them ALL on her lap.

Merry Christmas!

Christmas Cookies

Gideon helped me decorate some sugar cookies. One fingerful of frosting in the mouth...one in the hair...mouth...hair.

It was good frosting, despite the look on his face.

What are those things?

Maybe no one cares, but when we were flying over Nevada, there were these squares cut into the terrain. I have no idea what they are. If you can tell me, you are the winner!!

Can you see it? It's in the middle right.

Lunch for Kitty

Gideon decided that it was only fair if kitty ate his leftovers. What a giver! (He set these all up himself.) :)

Snow!

We have a little snow baby on our hands. Gideon loves being outside...and even more going down on a sled!

40 before 40

I got this idea from a friend.
This is my to-do list before baby #2 arrives. 40 items in 40 weeks in no particular order.
Seeing as I'm already into the 15th week, (and the fact that Gideon was HUGE, so we may encourage this baby earlier), I've already lost some weeks. So I'm posting some things I've already done just to have something to cross off right away.
I hope since it's public, it'll encourage me to do it.

1-Caulk kitchen counters.
2-Paint dining room and front room trim.
3-Make Swiffer Sweeper covers using this tutorial.
4-Lighten hair.
5-Spend one day doing what Gideon wants to do (except his fight for "no-naps!")
6-Dust fans and air vent.
7- Find deals on kids clothes at consignment sale.
8-Steam clean carpets and couches.
9-Wash baby clothes.
10-Install closet organizer.
11-Get lots of books at library sale!
12-Buy sandbox and play with Gideon for hours in it. (Tristan nixed the sandbox for now.)
13-Dig out flowers in front.
14-Rearrange kids room with toddler bed.
15-Redo front garden with potted flowers.
16-Sew zippers on pillows.
17-Get Gideon to sleep in a toddler bed.
18-Plant grass seed/sod in places.
19-Take a family picture.
20-Make freezer dinners.
21-Get filling done on tooth. Ugghh!
22-Date night with Tristan to see Christmas lights.
23-Organize garage.
24-Hang shades in front room and dining room.
25-Closet organizer in Gideon's room.
26-Organize recipes.
27-Update maternity wardrobe with things that are actually in style.
28-Jamba Juice night.
29-Get flu shot.
30-Make a green breakfast. (I've always wanted to for St. Patty's Day.)
31-Finish reading the Book of Mormon.
32-Sew zippers on pillows.
33-Start indexing for family history.
34-Get emergency kits for both cars.
35-Buy comfortable slip-on shoes.
36-Spot clean rug.
37-Put together "The Brain."
38-Convince Gideon that nursery is fun so I can go to Sunday School.Wahoo! Thanks Johnsons and Youngs!
39-Get a houseplant and keep it alive for longer than a month.
40-Deep clean refrigerator/freezer.

Random pictures

I've just placed 6 updates. Can you believe it?! Only because G is watching Finding Nemo or "Me-mo".
G's favorite past time...playing in the hamper and hiding in the bathroom.

Thinks climbing over and under the table legs is an adventure!

Done withe blueberries, Mom! He lets me know by putting the bowl on his head.

Loves to color. I discovered crayon wipes off whiteboard. (thank goodness!)

Halloween

We went to a friends house to celebrate Halloween. We carved pumpkins.

G was dressed to the nines for the occasion.

The most he would do is stick his hand in the pumpkin. Not even a seed would he touch.

So we carved....

And he watched Finding Nemo with his beloved "muk" (milk)

Our pumpkins.

Trick or treating with mom and dad! (We were the only ones out!)

Knocking. He'd yell something at this point. I presume in gibberish it was trick or treat.

What candy?

Exhausted after a long fun day!

Our Reader

This kid loves books!!

OH! He caught me. Sorry for the fuzzy picture.

Shoes

Because of these shoes, I wanted G to be Tristan for Halloween. I couldn't find scrubs small enough.

Ward Trunk or Treat

Our little pirate. Doesn't he look thrilled? This was the only picture I could get with his bandana on.

Once G figured out trick or treating, he loved it! Enough that he even tried to trick or treat out of others bags. He couldn't have cared less about the candy, he just likes to hoard things.

At the Zoo

I love the zoo in the fall. Kids are in school, the animals are out. It's not sweltering outside.

Notice the lioness? She charged Gideon right after I took this picture. All the other moms screamed but I was sad because I didn't have the camera rolling. She stared him down but he was too busy looking at a rock to notice. I'll tell you what, they are HUGE!!

Making sure all the lions get hugs and kisses.

At the Park

My cute boy.

His favorite thing. Dirt.
