I swear, every other week my belly gets bigger then smaller.

Week 38

I've been on the countdown for, oh...let's see...38 weeks now. I looked at my most recent pictures and my first thought is, "Seriously!! I thought I couldn't get any bigger at 7 months." Anyways, majority wins...I voted not posting them...yet. So, these will do for now. :)

Koosh Balls

I've discovered where Koosh Balls come from. Our juniper tree! The seeds are hard and pokey at first, but then it rained and Ta-dah! :)
I hope you are all as entertained as I am.

Oh the Joys of Being Pregnant

I'm sorry to those who don't care, but my life right now is focused on nothing but husband, baby and trying to stay busy. Here are some things I won't miss about being pregnant: (this is fulfilling the "trying to stay busy" part)

1- Not being able to bend over
2- Trying to tie shoes (see #1)
3- Getting "Holy cow!! Don't have the baby here!" and "Twins?" comments
4- Not knowing when baby will come
5- Not feeling like myself
6- Getting teary-eyed over...well....almost EVERYTHING! The latest...http://www.deseretnews.com/article/1,5143,705296505,00.html
I mean, seriously! It's Hannah Montana!!!! I really need a chill pill.
6- My favorite...just basically going crazy...for example, last night I woke up to my phone ringing at 5am. At first I thought it was Tristan's carpool and we had slept in...then when I didn't recognize the number, I thought, "Oh, maybe someone's having their baby. Oh!! Maybe it's us!!!" (Yes, thing's like that make sense to me when I am woken up from a dead sleep.)

I will miss some things, (I think), but that list will have to wait until I am there.

37 weeks

So, I think my belly looks smaller than last time. Tristan's angle must have something to do with it. Unless babies sense the fear of their mom by being 10 lbs...so he decided to go on a diet and drop to 9 lbs. One can hope, right?

Conference Weekend

To start off this Conference weekend I would like to give you another look into the life we lead here in Oklahoma. We were driving back home after a barbecue the other night. It wasn't dark but the sun was beginning to set and the lake looked like there was a thick fog over it. We were really surprised because it wasn't humid or anything. Later that night we decided to go on a walk before bed during we figured out what the "fog" was. It was DUST! You could smell it and taste it in the air!!! We have been having a little drought here and the high winds the last couple of days blew it all in. You can imagine how the dust bowl must have felt like.

Conference was great. We did our usual traditions. Tristan and I started a puzzle and painted our wooden eggs. Tristan did Snoopy, but can you guess what mine is????? Thats right...it's how I feel being pregnant. All BELLY! The yellow on top is my hair and you can see my teeny arms on the sides and my belly button down in front. :)

Pride and Prejudice

I love this story. I love the BBC movie version...as well as the 1950's B/W, LDS, Bollywood and modern versions. Yes I love them all.

My grandpa happens to have a book as the #9 top seller on amazon.com, The 5,000 Year Leap. It used to be #1, I've just been keeping track. Anyhow as I was looking today, I saw this as the #10 top seller.

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies: The Classic Regency Romance - Now with Ultraviolent Zombie Mayhem!

Here is the link if you are curious. I can't believe this is actually selling! If you actually link to the page be sure to read the editorial review. Just scroll down a bit.

Church History Sites

While in Missouri, Tristan and I had the chance to visit tons of Church History sites.
We visited first Carthage Jail.
We drove to Nauvoo and though I've seen it before, I am always amazed how HUGE that temple is. And it's situation on the Mississippi River is so pretty to look over.
Tristan in front of John Taylor's home.
This is a canal that was begun but never finished in old Nauvoo. We thought it would make a nice picture, so Tristan helped me over the slippery rocks.
The picture turned out well, though really I'm holding on for dear life.
On our trip back to OKC we stopped at Adam Ondi Ahman.
We still collect pinecones from all our travels. Our Christmas Tree will be well stocked this year.
The temple site in Far West. The land surrounding the whole are was beautiful.
Tristan looking at the rebuilt Liberty Jail.
Me standing on the temple site in Independence, Missouri. Behind me is the Community of Christ Temple.

Trip to Missouri

Tristan had time off of school for a week, so we took a trip up to Missouri to visit my brother Jake and his wife Jen and their kids. We had tons of fun and wished they all lived a little bit closer so the drive wasn't so long. Doctor made me promise I would get out and walk around every 2 hours.
We also had the chance to visit a Amish town and buy some apple butter. Yummy!! We both LOVE the swing in the backyard. Surprisingly I fit on it. :) It sits on a hill so the ground drops beneath you as you swing.
My niece Sydney, and nephew, Jackson, on a carousel at the mall in Columbia.
My niece Kate enjoying herself at the park.
Tristan found a swing just the right size. I'm just glad he can't fall out in case he forgets to hold on.
Thanks for letting us come play Jake and Jen! We sure miss you all.

33 Weeks

I can't believe how much bellies can stretch! I'm glad I'm getting near the end. It's getting harder to do my daily chores.

Baby Shower

On Saturday my good friends threw me a baby shower. It was SO fun! :) This baby will be ready for just about anything now.

Megan, Amanda, me, Talia with Owen and Carma with Hank.

Megan made me this awesome diaper cake.

Lindsey, one of the hosts, made everything look and taste SO great! All the food even matched. In fact, looking at this picture makes me want to go back to that table and make another plate-ful! It was so tasty!

Thank you Lindsey, Carma and Michelle!!!

30 weeks

I keep promising that I'll post pregnancy pictures. Basically most my posts from now on will be pregnancy or baby. :) How exciting for you all!
This was 2 weeks ago at 30 weeks. I'm 32 weeks now and all the pregnancy books say, "Prepare for the baby to have a growth spurt. You will be gaining about a pound a week."
I won't tell you what I officially weigh as of last night, we'll just say I wasn't a very happy camper going to bed. Tristan was very nice to me, though. That's why I married him. :)
Those Scrubs fans out there will know what I'm talking about when I mention the episode where Dr. Cox calls Jordan into the hospital to talk to Carla and as she comes the cup on the counter starts getting ripples...yes, like Jurassic Park.
On a side note, though, I've been really lucky with a pretty easy pregnancy. Hopefully it stays that way, but I enjoy to some extent being pregnant...as long as there is an end.
