Meet Luke

Friday the 13th is considered to be one of the unluckiest days of the year. It was pretty lucky for us! With Luke one of the top names we wanted for our boy, I was sold when we discovered it comes from "Luck." Luke surprised us 2.5 weeks early. Poor Gideon was waiting for me to get ready to take him to the zoo. I'll make it up to him here in a few weeks.
Here's our lucky boy, Luke. He's sweet and tiny and cute as can be! I am loving cuddling him, and I'm just about to leave the hospital and can't wait. I miss my other boys so much!!! And I swear my tailbone is bruised from this awful hospital bed.
Everything went very well...here's to little sleep for the next while!

Making Way for Baby

Gideon helped me make sure all the baby's things were in working order.

Sadly, I pulled out all the newborn clothes form the attic and they had molded somehow!! I dried them in the sun and tried everything to save them, but they were all lost. :( Shopping trip!

37 Weeks

Hard to think I can get much bigger.

Gideon felt his tummy is a better portrayal of this pregnancy.

G's Second B-day

I'm not great at cake decorating, but G loves cars, and he loved this. So I did good with this.

And speaking of Cars, his new pj's were a hit. Thanks grandma and grandpa!!!

The next day we celebrated with a ride on the zoo merry-go-round. G was very unsure of it all.

A birthday package came the next day. G was so excited for the gifts from his cousin and grammy and grampy.
He is pointing to his mouth to "blow bubbles."

Happy 2nd Sweetest birthday boy! We love you SOOOOOOOOO much!!!!

Naps

When we don't get G right away after he wakes up from his naps, he send out a message. Maybe one day he'll get through to us.

Science Museum

The Science Museum is AWESOME to let G run free and get messy! He loves it, as do I! Can't waddle too fast at this point. :)

Ward Easter Party

After some Easter activities at home (practice egg hunt ;) ) G was ready for a real egg hunt.

I happily discovered G hates chocolate. "Oh, I'll take that. It's yucky!"

Lowe's Build and Grow

Lowe's has a Build n' Grow project every other Saturday. G has his own apron and goggles and just loves working with Tris on his projects. It is so cute!!

Busy April

Well, for some reason blogger isn't letting me post pictures. So those will have to come later.
Tristan and I celebrated our 4th anniversary...very low key since I am so far into this pregnancy and he has major school tests and such coming up.
My little guy celebrated his 2nd birthday. This last year just flew by! He's turning into such an active, fun boy.
I've bagged my 40 before 40 list since most the projects had to wait until spring, and now I don't have the energy or capacity to do most of them. So I've been doing small projects here and there, and I'll say I've gotten done more in tis last week than the while pregnancy. Go me!

Happy Easter!

It's tradition that we paint our eggs every Easter. They tend to last longer. ;) It's pretty much a guarantee that G will taste test the paint before he uses it. It usually meets his qualifications.

Waiting for my paint to dry.

We also decorated sugar cookies! G was the official sprinkle sprinkler. About time I used the leftover Halloween and birthday sprinkles. What a great color combo!

My Buddy

I never knew a kid who would steal tissues from any store/person or bathroom to fake sneeze at any given moment. And then promptly say "Bess shoe," then wad it up and throw it away. You make me laugh.

I never knew such a young kid who could pronounce 3-syllable words after hearing it only once. "Chuggington," "Magazine" and "lollipop" are my favorite.

I never knew a kid your age who still preferred Gerber baby food pureed vegetables over vegetables in their whole form.

I never knew a kid who would use any item and turn it into a camera and yell, "Cheese! Chakoo," As you pretended to snap a picture.

I never knew a kid who bent as low as possible and slowly walked sideways toward you to snuggle his head into your leg to say sorry.

I love the way you laugh and scream when Daddy and I tickle you until we think you can't handle it and might start crying. Then immediately ask "More! More!"

I love the way you have to be independent, and when I got you out of bed, you cried and climbed back in just to get out on your own. Or when I stood you up you cried and squatted down just to stand back up and exclaim, "I did it!"

I love that after being in the tub, you jump out and bolt through the house yelling, "Nakey boy!" and climb on the couch leaving wet spots all over...every night!

I love that you believe a kiss from me AND Daddy AND yourself can heal anything.

I love that when I come to get you from a nap or in the morning, there are at least 20 books on your bed, and all your cars, and some hangers...every time.

I love that you can build your own train track with your train set and always have to find me to tell my the train is about to go through the tunnel.

I love that you ask me "Okay?" after you trip or fall and don't stop asking/telling me until I respond.

I love that you are so interested in cars and trucks right now and all we need to do is drive down the street and you are enthralled at all the vehicles we can find.

I love that when I push you in the car cart at the store, you stand up through the windshield the whole time yelling "HI!" to all the people.

I love that you ask to go fishing with Daddy everyday even though you end up throwing rocks in the water and playing in the mud.

I love taking you out in the stroller and soon you start asking, "Wok awound, wok awound?" And you are pretty good about staying near me.

You make me laugh and smile every day and I love you for it!
