Once we got our minds cleared, we turned on the tv. I wanted to hide in the closet like I've been trained (No, not like that) but we realized it was north of us. It probably affected some of our friends and ward members. Well have to check on them. I think today I'll take a nap.

Tornadoes
At 1:30 this morning we awoke to the sound of the tornado sirens going off. They go off if there are circulations in the clouds that could possibly touch ground. I distinctly remember thinking it was my alarm clock and how I wanted to break it, and why in the world it was going off at that time.
OKLAHOMA!
The great thing about Oklahoma is that we have a state song. You guessed it, Oklahoma from OKLAHOMA! Not only is our spelling of the state better, but we are learning the words to the song because at large events, everyone will stand and sing it together. It's like being in a Broadway, with no dancers and I don't know my lines. It's fun, I love it!
Rangers vs. White Sox
We have a friend who works for the Red Hawks (a minor league baseball team) out here in OKC and he offered us some tickets to watch an exhibition game for the Texas Rangers and the Chicago White Sox. We were close enough that all those t-shirts and foul balls that you see from a distance (and usually below your seat) fly into the crowd were actually over our heads.
The best part was a house cat, black with white feet, mysteriously came onto the field near the White Sox dugout. Poor thing was scared to death with all the noise. He soon disappeared out a fence, possibly to train for the next big game and find the exit sooner. ;)
Puppy
Last week while we were planting grass seed, a dog wandered into our yard. All we had to feed her was wheat bread. We realized her collar was so tight, so I took it off and she suddenly perked up and in fact decided she wanted to visit all the neighbors. She jumped every fence, and when we called her, she'd jump back to us. She really took to us and would sit in the front yard if we drove away and she'd stay there until we came back. We found it in our hearts that maybe dogs shouldn't live off bread alone. After calling several friends, we finally took her to the shelter. Hopefully a family has found her. Oh yeah, we called her Puppy. Aren't we flowing with creativity?!
New Project for Joe
My brother Joe is very talented at making / carving furniture out of wood. We took these pictures at the arena at OKC fairgrounds to introduce him to his next project. :) Tristan did not want to be in the picture I realized later (you can tell by the look on his face). Sorry Sweetie, I was trying to show the size of the log. You're still cute!

Circus Fun
The other night we went to the India Shrine Circus here in OKC. Even though the arena smelled like animals and popcorn we had loads o' fun. There were tigers doing tricks (even a white tiger), trapeze artists, motorcycle riders in those hug metal globe cages, Frisbee catching dogs, and high diving house cats (one of my favorites), elephants that moved in ways that should break any pachyderm, and one of the most amazing...bears that would sit and walk more like people than animals and one who even knew how to pedal a bicycle and steer it around the ring. Here's a picture of a guy on a rotating ring thing. He would run around the small ring while the whole thing spun. It was awesome. You can see him at the top kind of laying back. We are determined to build one when we have room. :) Apologies for the fuzzy pictures.

Stat Counter
This is something my friend friend Abby showed me on her blog. It's supposed to save time, but I only spend more time on the computer first looking at EVERYONE'S blog several times in one sitting (yes, I think you'll update them for my enjoyment every 10 minutes) and then I go to this website trying to figure out who looks at ours. No worries...I still have no idea, but I have guesses. You can download this stat counter that shows when a computer looks at your blog. We even had someone from Belgium. You can also see what city they are from and what page they were on before they got to you. Anyways, try it. It's fun to see that even if people don't make comments, they are looking at our little page...probably doing the same thing I am. :)

Easter Eggs
This year we decided to keep going with my family tradition of painting wooden eggs. Usually we try and paint something that has happened during the year. We have been missing our pets lately so we decided to paint them. I painted feral on top of a mouse and Tristan painted Thomas.
We also decided to dye eggs. Neither of us like
them hard boiled so we just did them raw and tried
our best not to have them break.

Run and Hide

To clarify this is Tristan writing this update. Tricia has a favorite game that she loves to play. She will wait till I am in the middle of something ie)study, movie, or favorite sports team playing. She will than go out of her way to drive me absolutely crazy. She will continue this until I get up and chase after her. She will than run away laughing historically and go try to hide some where.
To finally take my revenge and because I find this picture so funny this is the last place she chose to hide.

St. Patrick's Day
I made some Jello Jigglers for dinner and set them in the fridge to harden. Meanwhile we set out to fix our sink. What should have been an easy project turned out to take up our WHOLE day.
With only a few hours to visit a friend for a tool and play some Wii, this was Tristan's position. Nothing like trying to fit 6'4" between 18" of room by the tub and sink.

That night we pulled out our Jigglers only to discover some naked little Leprechaun bums had found their way to our Jello. Looks like one was taking the position of lookout. Smart little guys. I wonder where the gold is.

The Consequences of Exercise
So Tristan has been doing his best to try and stay active despite his very busy school schedule. I am glad he is trying to stay healthy, but he says he does because his belly can put my sister's in-law's bellies to shame and they're pregnant. I have fun going and watching him play...he's so much bigger than the others.
For example, Tristan started to play in an intermural basketball league, and it's like...well, pretend you are playing against a wall. :)
During the last game he caught an elbow across the bridge of his nose. It was only about half an inch, but it was quite deep. Then this weekend he was really excited because they started up his Saturday mourning football league again. He played like he was back in college. Anyway during the game he made an amazing catch by diving for it. The grass on the ground still hadn't grown and when he landed they was a big poof of dust and dead grass. He got pretty scraped up and the best part was when he came over to me he had grass in his teeth. Now that's playing!
Here are some pictures from the latest battle wounds.

Blah Blog
I'm always excited to open up my blog every morning and see if it's been updated. What a disappointment to learn it won't do that on it's own.
I just wanted to say I just cleaned my house and now I get to go to Lowe's because our tub is dripping, our sink faucet is dripping and our toilet is running...what fun! Oh yeah, and I love spring weather! For those of you who are still reading this and care we are taking Spring Break next week to put in grass. I know you've been on the edge of your seats for updates of our backyard. We are ALMOST there. :)

Video Help
So, as you can see, my video is not working. On some computers it doesn't even show up. I can see it and it works in preview...It's SO SO funny. How can I get it to work. Any ideas, anyone?

March Madness
This has nothing to do with basketball. I'm just catching up on our very outdated blog. We have gone to the zoo often since recently buying a zoo pass. Here a some pictures of those outings. Watch the video, it's hilarious. It'll be on the birds at first, who aren't very exciting, but the end is GREAT!! The deer in the picture was bucking the fence and running back and forth with Tristan...it was so funny.

The other day we got some free tickets to a Blazers hockey game. Anything free is great! We met up with friends there but had to leave early to watch the UFC championship with some neighbors.
Turns out, we don't have pictures for all our little adventures, so I won't bore you more. I must say though, we had our first tornado warning on Sunday and as excited as I was before to see one, I think I've changed my mind.
