When Your Street is the Getaway

As I was cleaning the house I kept hearing helicopters outside. Then 2 cops went speeding down our street doing at least 50mph with their lights...then 3 more cruisers. Curiosity took me outside, and we spotted 3 helicopters circling our neighborhood, and more cops coming through.

I still hear them. I guess they are looking for one more person.

Gideon thought the "birds" were so cool!

You know when you take a picture of the HUGE moon and it's really little? Well, these helicopters are on the far side of their circle overhead, even though they look miles away. One is in the bottom right, bottom left and one in the middle.

Before we even started, Gideon decided that fishing was exhausting.

I caught one!! But was too scared to touch it.

Tristan caught the biggest one of the day!

Sleepyhead decided to join the fun.

Just to prove to Tristan I wasn't a wimp, I actually held one after he convinced me it wouldn't start wiggling or bite my finger. (Can you tell I'm ready to throw it back once I hear the picture snap?!!)

Over the weekend we took a break from the city and went fishing in the country. I actually have pictures of Tristan and I! Can you believe it!?! Well, they are not uploaded on the computer yet. So, until then, here are some a friend took...

My 1st Birthday

Yesterday was my first birthday. I had so much fun that I'm ready to have my second birthday tomorrow!

Grandma and Grandpa Skousen got me this cute, cuddly doggy and book. I love books!! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!!

Mommy made me a pond cake because I love rubber ducks...and she loves swedish fish. ;)

I can't wait to get my hands on that cake!

SOOO good!

I'll bet if I put some in my hair, I can snack on it later.

My little guy turns one today. He's been such a joy! I can't believe a year has come and gone, I just can't remember life before him...or what I did with my free time. :) Hope it's the best day Little Guy! We love you tons and tons!

More Easter

Kind of old news, but I never posted many Easter pictures of painting our eggs. We paint wooden eggs, so we get to keep them year after year.

Gideon loved it...he even thought the paint was yummy. I sure hope that was non-toxic. :{

Not For Sale

Today I cleaned out our garage. I guess I shouldn't do this on Saturdays because I looked up and suddenly there was a women rifling through our things. "Uh, we're just cleaning. We're not selling these." "Oh." She said, and walked away. Serves me right for being productive. I should've taken a nap and saved us both the embarrassment. :)
